1968-1976 Mopar Electronic Ignition Box & Bracket Dodge Plymouth

I’m unsure of the original application of this electronic ignition box, any input would be greatly appreciated. It is pretty goopy and oily inside, I would be surprised if it worked without doing some work to it first. Per eBay policy this item has not been tested so it is listed as parts not only working. See pictures for condition and wear, ask if you’re ever unsure. Applications are based upon various sources, although I try to make sure research is correct it can be flawed.
