The Old State Capitol Building in Austin, Texas caught fire and burned to the ground in 1881. When the new Capitol building was commissioned (the Current Capitol building) stone from the State of Texas was insisted upon, and "Pink Sunset" aka "Sunset Red" granite from Marble Falls was chosen.
